M-R-ZPython developer · Mashhad, Iran

I turn repetitive work into small, reliable Python tools.

I'm Mohammadreza Zare. I build automation, backend services, browser extensions and developer tooling, and I open-source the parts that can help someone else.

01Origins

Fewer moving parts. More things that just work.

I work where automation meets the backend: scripts that remove repetitive tasks, small services and APIs, and the tooling that keeps them running.

My recent work spans a Persian text linter, a network doctor for developers in Iran, a self-hosted workflow engine, browser extensions and CI pipelines. The approach is the same everywhere: understand the real problem, keep the code small and readable, and make setup take minutes, not hours.

  • 01

    Solve real problems

Practical tools for everyday friction, not demos.

  • 02

    Less is more

Clean, readable code beats clever code.

Three flagship tools first, then smaller projects. Each solves one clear problem; stars, forks and last activity load live from GitHub.

Persian text toolingFlagshipv0.1.0

paknevis · پاک‌نویس

Problem
Persian text is full of small, inconsistent mistakes: missing half-spaces (ZWNJ), Arabic ي and ك, misplaced punctuation, mixed digits. Fixing them by hand is slow and error-prone.
What it does
A linter and auto-fixer for Persian, like Prettier/ESLint for Persian writing. It fixes only what is safe and never touches code, URLs, markup or math in Markdown, HTML and LaTeX. Runs as a Python library, CLI, pre-commit hook, GitHub Action and an in-browser playground.

netdoctor-ir

Problem
For developers in Iran, a failing pip install, npm install or docker pull could be DNS hijacking, SNI filtering or a sanctions page, and nobody knows which mirror works today.
What it does
A connectivity doctor and mirror switcher. It scans developer services through DNS, TCP, TLS and HTTP and explains each failure, ranks DNS resolvers, tests package mirrors by downloading real artifacts, and switches pip, npm, Docker, Go and Maven to working ones with backups and one-command restore. Report export and an optional TUI.

Workflow automationFlagshipv0.1.0

flowpilot

Problem
Automation platforms like n8n or Zapier are heavy to self-host or keep workflows in a database, while small cron scripts grow into unreviewable glue code.
What it does
A tiny, code-first workflow engine: readable YAML (or Python) workflows in Git, cron, webhook, file and RSS triggers, Telegram-first steps, retries and persistent state, a FastAPI server with a live dashboard, plugins in a few lines, and Jalali date filters. One Python process with SQLite.

AgentForge

Problem
Every AI coding agent expects its rules in a different file and format, so instructions drift apart between tools.
What it does
Keeps one source of rules in sync across agents, compresses code context with AST analysis, and lints rules for security issues and conflicts.

Curated list

Awesome Persian Developer Resources

Problem
Tools that Iranian developers rely on are scattered across forums and channels.
What it does
One curated, categorized hub: anti-sanction DNS and tools, free Iranian APIs, Persian fonts, Python packages and AI/NLP resources.

Browser extension

Universal Video Downloader

Problem
Web players hide the real stream URLs (HLS playlists, MP4 files) behind scripts.
What it does
A Manifest V3 extension for Chrome and Edge that detects streams on the page and saves them, entirely client-side.

Page Smash

Problem
Some webpages deserve it.
What it does
An original physics toy for Chrome, Edge and Firefox: fly a jetpack character over any page and smash its text and images apart.

Jenkins Pipeline Examples

Problem
Pipeline-as-code is easiest to learn from small, readable examples.
What it does
Declarative Jenkins pipelines in Groovy with staged builds, plus a variant with SCM polling.

PrintBridge

Problem
Browsers can't print silently to POS or label printers.
What it does
A local agent that takes print jobs from web apps and prints PDFs and thermal labels with no dialog. Forked from AnouarSbia/printbridge; credit to the original author.
